Marine Cove: A nice place to bring your dog

My dog Arnion, a Jack Russel and Westy cross, gets really restless and tears up the house if it doesn't get enough exercise. So what we do on a pretty regular basis is to walk him to Marine Cove, this place by the beach where there are a lot of restaurants, bars and shops. It's about 2.5km from where we stay, so everytime we go there, it's a 5km walk for Arnion. But what's really interesting about the place is that lots of dog owners bring their dogs there as well. Everytime we go, there're always new dogs and new people to meet. There're even folks who're there with their dogs everyday!

Raising a Dog

Two months back I bought my girlfriend a Jack Russell Terrier / West Highland Terrier Cross. Being a cat person, this is the first time I tried raising a dog, and I must say it has been a very interesting and enriching experience.

It's name is Arnion, which means "little lamb" in Greek. Arnion is all white and really cute. It's a really hyperactive dog which will tear up the house if not sufficiently exercise. As such, it has been helping me keep fit as I have to walk him every other day so he can expend his boundless energy.

During these walks, I have also made a lot of new friends who are also fellow dog owners. It's a really interesting world which I have only started to be a part of. Meanwhile, the best part is that I'm now much slimmer and healthier all thanks to Arnion!

Bought a Nokia 6230

I finally convinced myself that it was time to chuck my disintegrating Nokia 7210 aside for a brand new Nokia 6230. This phone was way more than I had bargained for. Typically Nokia Series 40 in terms of size, weight and form factor, but feature packed and easy to use.

What's awesome about it:
  1. Very powerful CPU. Java Games never felt so good. Menus are extremely responsive
  2. One of the best keypads ever made! SMS and Java games are breeze. I've never typed so fast and played so good.
  3. Excellent network performance. GPRS downloads are blazingly fast and rock solid
  4. Awesome screen with 65K colors. Java games looks better than the Nokia Series 60's!
  5. Feature packed with bluetooth, memory card support, camera, etc.
I don't really have any bad things to say about it. By using a powerful CPU and a very well designed keypad, this phone is all substance over form. It really does make a lot of sense making buttons that press well rather than just look good. I think it's really silly making phones with awkward keypad arrangements just so it looks unique. Would you buy a PC with a keyboard with totally different key arrangements?
